Professionally configure and maintain storage environments

Increased storage power: NetApp E-series courses now available from Fast Lane

Hamburg/Berlin, 16 August 2013 – Storage systems from the NetApp E-series offer a high broadband performance and density, and support solutions involving large quantities of data. The NetApp Learning Partner Fast Lane is now offering the new courses ‘Configuring NetApp E-Series Storage Systems’ (ESERIESCONFIG) and ‘Maintaining NetApp E-Series Storage Systems’ (ESERIESMAIN), in which participants can learn how to correctly handle the E-series.

In the three-day ‘Configuring NetApp E-Series Storage Systems’ training course, participants learn how to link the storage system to various kinds of SANs. Above all, this requires a well-coordinated configuration. To achieve this, essential parameters for the solution and for the E-series controller must be set up accordingly. This enables users to make sufficient storage space available and improve the I/O performance at a later stage. Participants then learn how to perform regular status checks on the storage system and initiate upgrades.

In addition, the correct handling of the storage management software SANtricity from NetApp is important for the daily use of the storage environment. The Fast Lane instructors demonstrate the handling of the software in practical scenarios. Course attendees also learn how to recover lost data.

Dates at a glance:
  • Amsterdam 09.10 - 11.10.2013
  • Munich 18.11 - 20.11.2013

Both course dates are FLEX classroom training courses, which means it is possible to take part in the course live over the Internet.

Maintaining storage environments in the best possible way

The two-day ‘Maintaining NetApp E-Series Storage Systems’ training course builds on the knowledge acquired in the ‘Configuring NetApp E-Series Storage Systems’ training course. It familiarises storage solution users with various support and maintenance tasks. The Fast Lane experts show the course participants how to evaluate support data, as well as how to diagnose connection problems and use the Recovery Guru. The theoretical training course content is consolidated by means of simulations and practical exercises, as well as a test with a number of questions at the end of the course.
