“Greener” learning with the new Fast Lane FLEX classroom training sessions

Hamburg/Berlin, 11 April 2013 – In line with the motto “Go Green and Save …”, the provider of IT training Fast Lane has expanded its portfolio with the addition of online learning options. The new FLEX classroom training courses allow participants to make use of remote online access if they cannot attend the course in person. Such participants can follow seminars live from their computers via voice and video connections, as well as being able to interact with the instructor and other course participants and take part in practical lab exercises. Course selection thereby becomes more flexible, and savings are made on travel costs.

The FLEX range of courses combines the advantages of Instructor-led online (ILO) training with those of Instructor-led training (ILT). Regardless of whether the participant takes part remotely (e.g. from his or her place of work or from home) or in person, he or she receives personal attention and help from the instructor.

Overview of key benefits and features:

  • Instructor-led training
  • Hands-on labs
  • Voice and video for remote students to interact with the instructor and local students
  • Break out rooms that include both remote and local students
  • Electronic whiteboard for instructor notes
  • VoIP or conference bridge audio
  • Low bandwidth requirements for remote students

Numerous training courses from the Cisco and NetApp portfolios can currently be booked as FLEX training sessions, as can VMware/virtualisation courses and Fast Lane’s own range of courses. Further information about the FLEX classroom portfolio, including course dates, is available at www.flanegroup.com.au/flex.
